NEW ZEALANDER OF THE YEAR AWARDS
ICARE Founder Dr. Assil Russell was chosen out of hundreds of nominations to be one of three finalists for 2013 Young New Zealander of the Year.
Her work for both ICARE in Iraq and the people of her home town of Hamilton New Zealand was recognised during the Awards ceremony which took place at the beautiful Langham Hotel.
Awards patron and former Prime Minister Rt. Hon Jim Bolger as well as Governor General , Lt Gen Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae presented Dr. Assil with her certificate.
Thank you to New Zealander of the Year Awards for the honour of being nominated and being chosen as a finalist. The support and encouragement by those who attended the ceremony pushes us further to keep working to provide aid where it is needed both in New Zealand and abroad.
